After the lovely response to my previous ’10 Things I’m Grateful For’ post, I thought I would go ahead and turn it into a new series on the blog. As I said in that post, practising gratitude is wonderful in so many ways, so I wanted to make it a more regular thing here on the blog. For that reason, I’d like to welcome you to the second instalment of ‘The Gratitude Diaries’! I’m not going to make it a weekly thing, because I don’t want to force it. Instead, this will be a series for as and when it’s appropriate, continuing with today’s post. Without further ado, here are 10 things I’m grateful for this week.

Sometimes, it’s the little things that can change your life, and this week, it was new pillows for me. There’s nothing like burying your head into a new feather pillow and waking up in the morning feeling like a new person. Of course, the problems begin when it’s time to get up…
Though I’m sure it won’t be the case forever, so far, I’ve never had a bad experience with Southern Rail! They don’t get good press very often, but I’m extremely grateful that Southern Rail offers me quick, cheap and easy access to my ultimate happy place.
To be honest, there isn’t a week that goes by when I’m not grateful to have my boyfriend in my life. He puts up with a lot but he never gives up on me! However, this week, I’m particularly grateful to him for helping me smash through my blogging to-do list. We shot enough content to cover more than a month while I settle into my new university course, and he was extremely patient and dedicated considering he’s paid with love and nothing more! I couldn’t run my blog without him (literally – I wouldn’t have a photographer!), so I feel grateful every time I hit publish.
With September comes the best of British TV. Although Poldark is over, my inner grannie is satisfied by Victoria, Strictly, and of course, the Great British Bake Off. I cannot explain how many feel good vibes I get from those three programmes! Ah, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.
I don’t cope well in the heat, so cooler days are always welcome for me. The weather has really taken a turn this week – think blustery showers and darker nights – and I’m not even mad about it! Now I’m just waiting eagerly for the leaves to fall and I’ll be in full autumn swing!
NEXT DAY DELIVERY
It’s such a first world luxury, but next day delivery is great. Considering this is a fashion blog, you’d think I would love shopping in Primark or Zara, right? Wrong! Shopping IRL leaves me feeling hot, anxious and disappointed, so it’s online shopping all the way! As a serial ASOS shopper, there’s nothing like making an order at 11PM, only for it to arrive before lunch time the next day! The fact that I can send it back for free once I’ve decided I can’t afford the item (after fawning over it a little, of course) is even better!
Brunch is the best meal of the day. Not breakfast, not lunch, but brunch. A little bit of sweet, a little bit of savoury, and you’ve got the best of both worlds. Whether it’s an acai bowl with all the health food toppings, or a dirty full English piled with bacon, brunch is the king of meals, and that’s the final say on the matter.
It’s finally jumper season (or sweater weather!) and I couldn’t be more pleased. We’re approaching my favourite time of the year to dress for, and I am so excited to wear all of the layers! Cosy scarves, oversized knits and chunky boots are my autumn holy grails – get in my wardrobe! Check out my Missguided haul for all the autumn inspiration.
I had to end on a soppy note, didn’t I? When I was younger, I wanted to be an astronomer. I was obsessed with the solar system, the galaxy and the universe beyond, but you don’t get to see much of it in London. This week I looked at the full moon over Brighton for almost an hour, and it was simply beyond perfect.
