Earlier this month, I spent a week in the Istria region of Croatia with Ollie and his family. Apart from an adventure into the local town of Labin, a trip or two to the beach at Rabac and a pit stop in the ancient city of Pula on our last day, it was a week spent enjoying some sunshine, good food and time to unwind, and it was sorely needed. Because of this, we didn’t do as much exploring as Ollie and I usually do when we travel, but it did mean I could pack a suitcase full of clothes for aesthetics over practicality, and I made full use of all our free time.
It’s been a while since Ollie snapped photos for my blog with me, and it’s something we both really missed. In the beginning, photography was something he used to dread and the results of our shoots never quite lived up to what I had in mind. However, with time and practice, it came to be an enjoyable experience which we could share, and these days, we’re a pretty good team. It turns out he can take a pretty good picture – with my guidance at least!
Seeing as I don’t have any travel photos to share, I thought I’d put together a summer lookbook featuring all of the outfits I wore during our time in Croatia.

It was love at first sight for this Pull & Bear swimsuit. I often like to keep my torso out of the sun, but I’ve always struggled to find a flattering cut that didn’t look mumsy. It was with this swimsuit that I discovered the high leg and I’m never going back!
This spotted bikini (top and bottoms) is such a coveted piece on Instagram at the moment, and I managed to nab the style I wanted early. However, there are so many options to suit all different body types and tastes, so check them out at ASOS!
